Eriocraniidae

Family with mostly diurnal flight. In Portugal, only 1 species is known of the 9 present in Europe. Easy to identify in the adult stage. In the larval stage, it presents specific characteristics with "mining" behaviors - living in tunnels created inside the leaves of oak trees ( Quercus sp.).
