Cossidae

Family of mostly nocturnal flights, however the species Stygia australis is known to fly during the day near Echium sp., which is believed to be the food plant from which the caterpillar feeds on the roots. In Portugal, 5 species are known out of the 40 existing in Europe. Easy to identify.
